You can see why this was the last new issue on Excello. The label had lost the Root sound of gospel , Doo-Wop, Rockin’ Blues & R’N’R. This new direction into crap funky disco & soul had killed the label & lost Excello it loyal followers.
Once Slim Harpo was no longer having records on Excello The label was defunked.
The label did repress many of its earlier records some times with an alt take appearing on one side by mistake for the European collector market.
