Owner : Ray Peterson
But run by his Manager Mort Shulman, as Ray had been crippled with polio. Mort then took office in the Brill building in New York & arranged a deal with Hill & Range as distributer for the label as a subsidiary of Bigtop Records (NY) . Ray Peterson meet in 1959 Phil Spector in La & became friends. Phil became the label producer.
The Dunes name & logo was based on the Famous Las Vegas Strip Hotel in Paradise Nevada where Ray Peterson did a four week run every year.
