ReplyDeletePenny Martin disc is a 1958 release for a different Renay label.
John Domurad used one-off labels for some of his early compositions: D-1001 is on Bo-Town, D-1002 on Casco and D-1003 on Renay. They emanate from the Boston area. All 3 are on 45cat but not yet linked.

DeleteThanks for this one. Renay was one of the labels that was operated by Roland Janes out of this Sonic Recording Studio. One of his artists, Joe Keene, later went on to run his own studio, Kennett Sound Studio, in Kennett, Missouri. Cowboy Slim Dortch, who likely recorded his Eugenia and Lightning Ball recordings in the mid 1960s, later also recorded at Kennett.
