ReplyDeleteAccording to Colin Escott's liner notes for Tommy Blake's Bear Family CD "Koolit - The Sun Years Plus", Buddy was owned by A.T. Young, who named the label after his son Buddy.
ReplyDeleteA.T. Young was the manager of the local Marshall Jamboree, a Saturday night live country music stage show that likely featured Tommy Blake and the Rhythm Rebels on at least some shows.
