ReplyDeleteJudging from the record labels you included, Big Howdy had different addresses. Bogalusa, Baker, and Angie in Louisiana. Angie and Bogalusa are located within a 15 minutes radius near the Mississippi state border, while Baker is more away (nearly two hours west by car). Either the label moved or these addresses were occupied by the actual artists and the releases were custom presses.
ReplyDeleteAlso, B.J. Johnson and Pee Wee Maddux (once musical partner of Ernie Chaffin) were involved in the label, they are mentioned as producers. Some of the recording artists were also part of a live stage show that originated outside of Bogalusa, the Pearl River Valley Jamboree.
