The self indulgent Jazz musicians had to adapt. Some playing the mambo craze of 1954 at dance halls. It wouldn’t be long before the weirdo bearded square pretentious campus drop outs took over the cellar bars with their Beatnik poet’s talking boring made up scatt crap, forced any remaining Be-Bopers out & into playing the back street strip joints to find their heroin & whisky money. Maybe the only genre that was more false & stuck up there own arses than the look at me I can play so fast, I’m so insecure Jazz men.
The cleaver ones learned to play the Big Beat at dance halls & would become members of Northern R’N’R bands. Others faded away.

This great music from Savoy is coming so fast and furious, it's hard to keep up. But it's been a great gift in helping me get through the stay-at-home lockdown. A++++++
