By mid 1955 the Mambo was out, Savoy’s Doo-Wop and R&B Rockers & Teen sounds where filling the “Record Hops”. Older jazz musicians where forming Northern R’N’R Bands to Honk out the Big Beat. Establised R&B and Blues artist where adopting to a full out Rock ’N’ Roll sound. Savoy had been placing ballads on the A side and uptempo Rockers on the B side, but radio stations and DJ”s at the teenage dance halls where pushing the fast jivers stroller and boppers on the flip.
Savoy had noticed the Rockabilly Explosion in the Southern States. It wouldn’t be long before Savoy had their own crazed younger Rock ’N’Roll acts & Wild Rockabilly sounds.
